Brimpton Airfield is 50 miles West of London - halfway between Reading and Newbury in Berkshire - just South of Woolhampton on the A4.

In aviation terms, its just inside the Restricted Area R101(2.4) surrounding the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston. Inside R101? Is that allowed? Yes! The airstrip is just inside the Northwest boundary and operates on a 'Special Exemption' from the CAA and we are on excellent terms with the Establishment.

PPR is now mandatory to ensure we comply with our Special Exemption for being inside R101.

Please telephone or the PPR form and ensure you receive a response before your visit.

PPR on the Radio is acceptable when manned.
